KIM WESTHEIMER
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Kim joined Wondermore in 2024, merging decades of experience in nonprofits and education with a love of literature and a commitment to fostering schools where students see their lives reflected and respected. Her varied experience includes program design and development, fundraising, research, teaching, writing, and film. She is the coauthor of When the Drama Club is Not Enough, a book that shares lessons learned from the Safe Schools Program for LGBTQ students, a program of the Massachusetts Department of Secondary and Elementary Education. A couple of her favorite books growing up were A Wrinkle in Time by Madeline L’Engle and Ramona the Pest by Beverly Cleary.

program DIRECTOR

Pam decided her career should focus on literacy and books while working at Rabbit Hill Children’s Bookstore in high school and college. Next stop was the marketing and publicity team at Farrar Straus and Giroux Books for Young Readers, where she first started partnering with authors and illustrators. After realizing working with children and books was the way to go, she moved to Boston, earned a library degree, and became an active member of the Foundation for Children’s Books, Wondermore’s predecessor organization. Pam splits her week between Wondermore and the library at Nathan Hale Elementary School in Roxbury, MA. Two of her childhood favorites were Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein and Amos & Boris by William Steig. She joined Wondermore in 2019.

Judi Seldin
Director of Operations

Judi Seldin joined the board of Wondermore in 2021 and became a staff member in 2025. Prior to Wondermore, she was the Assistant Head of School at the Carroll School, a school for students with language-based learning differences. Judi worked closely with the Board of Trustees and oversaw operations including strategy, finance, human resources, information technology and facilities. Before finding her passion for educational administration, Judi worked in the private sector in both large and start-up companies. Judi’s favorite books as a child were Harriet the Spy by Louise Fitzhugh and Encyclopedia Brown by Donald Sobel.

KIM MAIDA
GRANT WRITER

Kim joined Wondermore in 2021. Her background is in grants management for Native American Tribes. She has successfully secured over $6 million in Federal, State and Private grants to support culturally relevant social programs. She also has experience in journalistic writing as a published writer for local magazines. Her favorite books growing up were Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl and Holes by Louis Sachar.
