Yesenia Arango is a Campus Engagement Manager at Ellevation Education, a mission-driven company dedicated to helping English Learners achieve their highest aspirations. Prior to joining Ellevation, she was a dual language math teacher at Boston Public Schools. Yesenia holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Boston University and a Master's degree from Boston University in Education. Yesenia is also a first degree black-belt and volunteers her time instructing martial arts with the East Coast School of Combined Martial Arts- Arroyo's Program. She recently began teaching martial arts at her own site in collaboration with the Revere Recreation Department. She ran the Boston Marathon in 2022 for Metro Housing Boston and enjoys traveling, yoga, and reading! Her favorite books growing up were The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros and anything from the Junie B. Jones series by Barbara Park.
