Wondermore Earns National Recognition

Today Wondermore proudly earned a National Commendation from the American Association of School Librarians. On hand to accept the commendation were Wondermore Executive Director, Rebecca Coll, Board Chair, Andrea Mintz, and former Executive Director, Jen Cusack. The American Association of School Librarians recognized Wondermore's work in "facilitating powerful interactions between creators of children's books and underserved K-8 students."

For over 30 years Wondermore, formerly the Foundation for Children's Books, has conducted programs and events designed to empower teachers and inspire life-long reading and learning among Boston students. "This commendation, and national recognition, confirms the work we have been doing for so many years is meaningful and truly makes a difference in the lives of the students and educators we reach," said Coll after receiving the award. "It's powerful and humbling to know children's lives are enhanced by the work that we do."
